Journeys

Travel notes from the Worlds of Spirits — roads, places, conversations, cellars and quiet moments that shape the archive.

“The archive documents the bottle. The journeys document the memory around it.”

Why this section exists

A number of journeys over the years have quietly shaped the way I think about spirits, collecting and provenance. Very little of it was written down at the time. Looking back, I realised that some of the most memorable parts were not always the bottles themselves, but the atmosphere surrounding them — the places, roads, meals, conversations and small details that stayed with me.

This section begins from now. The idea is to update the archive as journeys happen, while the memory is still fresh, rather than trying to reconstruct everything later.

Writing approach

This is not intended to be a travel blog, a drinks guide or a list of recommendations. It is a personal field journal. I am not writing as an expert. I am writing as someone still learning through travel, collecting and experience.

Some journeys may eventually lead to a bottle entering the archive. Others may simply leave an impression worth preserving.
